This is the configuration that was used for a VX400 VX410 series Polycom phones.<\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Factory reset your phone<\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    How to reset your Polycom VVX phone<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n

    1. Press and hold buttons 1, 3, and 0 to force the phone to reset.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    2. Power on the phone and wait for the Starting Application dialog to appear as the phone boots.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    3. Press cancel to stop the Starting Application dialog.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    4. The Welcome dialog will count down from 7. During this process, hold buttons 1, 3, and 5 simultaneously to summon the password prompt.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    5. Enter the MAC address using lower case characters. For letters, select the a->1A mode and press the key the amount of times the letter requires. (For example, the letter \u201cF\u201d would need to be pressed three times.) Since there\u2019s no backspace option, please type the address carefully to make sure there are no errors. However, if needed, you can hold 1, 3, and 5 again to restart the process.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    6. Once entered, the Polycom phone will have been reset. The new default password is 456.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Make sure that the C:\\inetpub\\ftproot folder\/directory has everyone user with modify set.<\/li>
      2. Be sure that you configure the below for the data vlan as well as the voice vlan<\/li><\/ol><\/span><\/div>\n\n\n

        1. Phone will boot up. <\/span><\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Get an IP from network, get OPTION 128, 144, 157, 191 and go to VOICE VLAN. <\/span><\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Phone will then get OPTION 66 and connect to phone server for FTP. <\/span><\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. It will then search for the mac.cfg file which will not be found, so the phone will use the default master configuration file: <\/span> <\/span>000000000000.cfg . <\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. This master configuration file says to look for a CONFIG_FILE name ‘<\/span>reg-basic_MACADDRESS.cfg<\/span>‘. The phone will download both. <\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Phone will connect to SIP server ‘<\/span>10.105.5.245<\/span>‘ for registration using the username ‘<\/span>4006<\/span>‘ and SIP password ‘<\/span>123456<\/span>‘.Phone should come online Online.<\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          The US is currently the only users using the Polycom phones. There is already a 000000000000.cfg there now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
          Move phone to a New User:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Copy an existing phone configuration file<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Save it in all lower case (Example: reg-basic_MACADDRESS.cfg)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Edit the file and change the following parameters to match the user\u2019s extension number and the name you want to display on the phone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Make sure the user in the Mitel Director has the same SIP password of 123456reg<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
